Who is using it?
Managed service solutions like NPower ON! are widely used in the public and private sectors. Specifically, the software that powers NPower ON! is used to manage more than one million desktops and servers worldwide.
Through NPower ON! we are currently supporting over 1,000 workstations and servers for 40 nonprofits in the DC metro area.
What does it cost?
NPower ON! base rate is determined by the number of workstations and servers in your organization.
Price per PC, per month: $25
Price per server, per month: $100
Pre-purchase monthly support: $75/hour.
What about privacy and security? What about HIPAA?
NPower ON! protects the privacy and confidentiality of your data. When we connect with your network, we do so through an encrypted tunnel. No one can see the information that’s being passed between NPower and your server. Software agents on your PCs and servers only SEND information.
Will you be able to take control of my machine?
Yes, (with your permission). Our remote system management enables us to offer prompt response to your staff. To obtain the user’s approval before connecting remotely to their desktop, we will either call or start a chat session before initiating a remote control session. Connecting remotely gives us the full access to your staff’s computers which we need to quickly resolve operational issues.
What about in-person support?
If we cannot resolve your computer problems remotely, we will send a technician to your site.
Will this work with my existing hardware?
NPower ON! will work with most hardware and software. However, if you have old, outdated or dying hardware, we may not be able to deploy NPower ON! until you make upgrades.
We can conduct an assessment of your network and make specific recommendations regarding your hardware and software needs to ensure that NPower ON! will work for you.
Does this mean that I have to leave my PCs on all the time?
Yes, we can only manage hardware when it’s on. If you are reluctant to leave your PCs on all the time, we can agree to a modified practice, for example having your staff leave their PCs on one night per week. This practice is important for timely application of patches and security management.
